The Senior High Youth Group meets regularly during the school year and at special times during the summer. Meetings are held in Redbird Lounge.
The Youth Group offers opportunities for Christian growth and learning, fun recreational activities and a variety of mission and services projects to reach beyond oneself in service to others.
Youth ministry in the congregation has striven throughout the years to help young people grow in their faith as they face the challenges of the world. It has taken many forms throughout the years, as the United Methodist Church has developed many responses to youth ministry needs. From the Epworth League to Methodist Youth Fellowship (later known as United Methodist Youth Fellowship) youth found a place in the life of the church. For a few years the churches of Darlington attempted to meet the needs of area youth through an ecumenical cooperative venture. After a few years some of the congregations felt the need to re-establish their own groups to foster an understanding of their own denominational heritage among their youth. In 2003 the Darlington UMC undertook this approach by re-establishing a youth program for Senior High youth.
